Car tires and tire sizes by Models

Tire size is a very important measurement that may influence your car’s performance and even change exterior design. Manufacturers may have different identification marks but the tire size is all the same across all brands. It is a great advantage if you can read the tire size correctly.

Auto manufacturers provide information with default tire size fitting a specific car model but the range of possible options is far more diverse. Each car owner may soup up the vehicle by installing tires of bigger diameter with a lesser aspect ratio. Browse our catalogue to find out what tire size is the best for your car. You may specify the make, year and model to see matching wheels or filter vehicles by tire size.

Usually, tire size goes in the following format P 255/35 R21. In this example “P” stands for car type (passenger), “255” - tire width in mm, “35” - aspect ratio, “R” means radial construction and “21” is the rim diameter.

Hello! I have a jaguar f pace with 24” rims on 255/30/24r tyres. Bought the car that way, I get a small crack on the rims already and it’s a really rough ride on the bad roads but really smooth on the motor way. Can you tell what would be the best size tire to stop the cracks. For the 24s”.? I’m thinking 255/35/24r would help. Waiting for your reply Dwane

Hello. Yes, 265/70R17 tires will fit perfectly on your 2003 Chevy Avalanche even without any suspension modifications. Make sure you choose rims with the correct width and with an offset that matches your pickup truck.

Greetings! The tires you want to install are too big for your car. The standard wheel size for the 2021 Hyundai Palisade is 245/60R20. If you try to install 285/50r20 tires, you may encounter unpleasant consequences. For example, the wheels will hit your fenders or bumper. You may need to install spacers or perforn a plastic trim. We advise you to choose tires with a lower profile.

Hi. The stock tire size of your 2004 Toyota Wish is 196/65r15. In order to safely change your tire size, it's usually recommended to stay within a 3% diameter change. The proposed change from a 195/65R15 to a 195/75R15 represents more than a 3% change in overall diameter, so it's generally not recommended. As a result, you may encounter the following problems: - Incorrect display of speedometer values; - Increased fuel consumption; - Poor handling; - The wheel may start to catch on the fenders or arches - you'll have to trim them.
